And here we have at least two never fully explained references to something bad happening in the Flash’s future. ![]() I don’t know about you, but when I see a future child coming to the past and interfering with their parents’ and family’s lives, the first place my mind goes is time-travel fix-it. However, the whole Presumably-Dawn thing must be leading to a future Flash arc - one with a lot of good ol’ wibbly-wobbly-timey-wimey complications. On the surface, the message about timeline changes and not trusting Barry could be about Savitar, and the newspaper article was hypothesized as relating to the fact that The Flash CW is ALREADY a time-travel AU where Eobard Thawne changed the young Barry’s life ultimately causing him to become the Flash much earlier - and the original timeline Flash had come back in time “vanishing” in the process to try and stop it. ![]() The running theme of the future newspaper article displayed by Gideon in the Star Labs hidden room, dating all the way back to episode 1 of “Flash Missing: Vanishes in Crisis.”.Future Older Barry had sent a message to Rip Hunter on Legends of Tomorrow with a cryptic warning about not trusting anyone - including Barry himself. ![]()
